- Account may be opened with a minimum of US $ 1,000.00
- There is NO ceiling on the Maximum amount of a Certificate of Deposit Account.
- Minimum Period : One Month
- Maximum Period : 10 Years
- Payment before Maturity: Allowed with 1% reduction in applicable Rate of Interest. However, it may not be less than ZERO.
- Auto renewal at the maturity of the Certificate of Deposit Account for the same period or as instructed by the depositor.

A Certificate of Deposit can be opened by any Individual / Firm / Corporate. Individuals may open a Certificate of Deposit Account either singly or jointly with another individual.

- W-8BEN Certificate of foreign Status – applicable for Non-US applicants OR
- W-9 Tax payer Identification Number & Certificate – applicable for US applicants
- Photocopies of Photo ID of all the Depositors
- Photocopies of Latest Utility Bill in the name of Depositors
- Check in favor of Bank of Baroda / Cash for initial amount of deposit
- Any other document as per the Checklist to the application form
Other than Individuals

- Photocopies of Tax ID Certificate of the Business
- W-8BEN Certificate of foreign Status – applicable for Non-US applicants OR
- W-9 Tax payer Identification Number & Certificate – applicable for US applicants
- Photocopies of Latest Utility Bill in the name of Business. It should contain the address of the business also.
- Photocopies of Photo ID of all the Principal Officers, Beneficial Owners and Authorized Signatories like Driver License, Passport etc.
- Photocopies of Latest Utility Bill in the name of the Institution / Corporation
- Bank Reference
- Regulatory / Government Permission (as applicable)
- Check in favor of Bank of Baroda for initial amount of deposit

Minimum Balance Requirement / Maximum Balance

A Certificate of Deposit Account may be opened with a Minimum amount of US $ 1,000.00. However; there is no maximum ceiling for opening of the account.
To help the Government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account we will ask you for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will identify you. We may ask to see your Driver License and other identifying documents.
Please note that in case requested follow-up information required for compliance with regulations pertaining to ‘Customer Identification Program’ and ‘Know Your Customer’ is not forthcoming within 30 days after account opening or otherwise upon request by the branch, any relationship already established, will be terminated.
